Default XM Radio upgrade

A customer of mine is looking for the following audio solution for his 928. Anyone have any recommendations, or pointers on products?

I need help, research a tuner ONLY
for XM radio, the most stylish antenna to replace or reuse the exiting,
amp(s) w/adjustable passive crossovers, speakers that are excellent for
Modern Jazz, Jazz, Smooth jazz, and 60's through 80's rock. Clear distinct
paper bass, clear fast paper mids, same w/sup-mids, and 2-super tweeters
that I'll install in the front window pillars at about 9" above the dash and
pointed directly at each other. They should be no more than 4" in diameter
(please check your car to verify if 4" is to large). I'm not interested in
what color the housing is, but I want the screens to match the trim or in
black. I'll have bodies upholstered.
Naturally, all these components shall fit into existing cavities.

Hi Nicole,
Not sure if this what you're looking for or not but 2 yrs ago I re-did the audio in my '88 5spd.

-MBQuart premium series 4" and tweeter in doors..used existing holes and the included 'spacer' ring for the 4"..looks stock. Tweeter mounting used old mounting w some dremeling of old tweeter. Adjustable crossovers mounted inside doors (better get 'em right the first time
-MBQuart Premium series for the 6" mid and 4" rear speakers. Had to make a sheet metal cutout to mate the 6" to the old cover..easy. Adjustable crossovers are under the drivers and passengers front seats
-Alpine XM turner under drivers front seat, new Alpine head unit (you can get an integrated XM/head unit now)
-Rockford Fosgate 4x85W amp. Much bigger than the small Blaupunkt (4x100w) that I tried to use initially. After 3 units crapped out I went w the RF..currently residing behind the passenger seat...not where I'd like it long term but that's where its at now. It MAY fit under the dash on the pass side..need to measure, else it'll just go on the floor of the back...I'm not going to build up the back to hide it since I need to carry two sets of golf clubs on occaision.
-Infinity Basslink powered sub..mounted on rear of drivers side rear seat..big box so it takes up too much room but it sounds good
-XM antenna mounted on hatch roof in place of an external cellphone antenna placed by a long ago PO

If I was doing it again, I'd get the integrated head unit and take a look at some of the smaller amps (soundstorm was mentioned in an earlier thread) out there today to see if they could be hidden..perhaps drive the fronts w the headunit and the rears w one amp placed (hopefully) in place of the stock amp. I don't want to lose my spare since I take road trips, so the subwoofer options are limited. There was someone who made a replacement for the tool cover that stuck into the compartment an additional 6" that would allow for up to 4 6" subs to be mounted. I can't find the link at the moment so you'd have to do a google search.

I'm happy w the sound of the system but the sub/amp placement looks klugey.

Jim

Thank you, Jim! Do you have any pictures of the speaker setup?

I can also put in a Sub if I want. I choose not to at the moment...
