To the folks that participate at this site. Many thanks, you have been a tremendous help. So, here is my first question. I have a 1984 auto (928s).
A fuel injector hose has developed a leak. I'm obviously going to do all eight hoses at the same time. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
But my real question is this. I have located the repair kits. Pretty basic, hoses, clamps, ect. Has anyone come up with something a little sportier (sharper) then the basic kit?
thanks
matt

When repairing L-jet injector hoses, be careful to exactly match the lengths: the sealing relies on an even clamping force over the length of the fuel rail. Also, for the 'clean' look, I've never used any hose clamps - just reuse the cup washers now on the injectors, and there should be no leaks.
A caution - my first 'leaking hose' was actually a leaking injector body: fuel under pressure weeps in a very fine film that may mislead and look like the hose is shot.

thanks shane, got the specs from that site. garth great tip on the length and the look. it is definitely the hose. in fact i used a piece of rubber and a small clamp to patch it up to get back home. it worked, no spray and was dry when i got back. it also solved my mysterious fuel smell!

I purchased some SS braided (for the look), high pressure fuel line awhile ago, but have not put it in yet. Will it work at the injectors or does it need to be the type of hose Shane linked to?
mcevoy34 & Will....Thanks!
