Default Dead Mirrors

Hello,

I got dead mirrors in my 1990 928 GT. The memory pad for the driver's seat is not illuminated either. I am not particularly fussed about the latter because I am the only driver of the car, but do you think that can have a bearing on the mirrors? Is there a fuse for the mirrors?

Thanks in advance,

Alex

I'm no expert in this area, but both the mirrors and the seat move when you use the memory buttons. Therefore they do effect each other. What some others have done successfully is disassemble the memory control module and re-solder all of the connections.

No $hit? I thought only the seats moved - I'm pretty new to this high-tech stuff. Crap! Yet another thing to add to the list.

Memory control is above the hood release in the drivers footwell on a LHD.

Andrew yes another gremlin for your list. There are connectors in the doors for the mirror one from each side as well as a connector to go to the seat memory and to the mem & mirror controls. The seat memory is actually in the seat controller under the drivers seat, all the mirror functions are in the mirror contoller. The buttons go to both units buts thats all - otherwise they are independant.

Check Fuses 25, 40, 44 (for a '90)

Thanks Alan. It's on my list... at the bottom, but on the list.
