Default Shrinking headliner

As I tinker with a little of this and a little of that while my heads are being worked on, I noticed the headliner in the rear section of the interior, the section behind the sun roof has pulled away from the light and the edges. It seems to be warped and very stiff as well as possibly pulling off the roof. I guess this has to do with simular events causing dash cracks. My worry is if I get a used one I am just inviting the repeat. Or is there some sort of oversized trim molding to compensate for the shrinkage? Thanks in advance.

Bill,

Is yours vinyl or leather? The shrinking vinyl has happened on my rear quarter panels. I was thinking about using heat to soften, restretch then glue it back in place.

Guess my question is will heating it allow restretching or will it just continue the shrinkage?
