I know this has been discussed b/f but if folks are concerned about the paint in and around the hood area due to engine heat perhaps they should open the hood when they pull into the garage after a workout? It might not do anything except keep waxed areas from hazing but it will at least get rid of a lot of heat that will take its toll on plastic and rubber bits in the engine bay over time.

This job is a lot easier if you remove the hood. It comes off easily and is very light.

Yes it would be MUCH easier and I thought of that when I did mine.... the second time.

Thanks guys for the timely thread! The motor is still out of my GT and I have a new factory hood liner to put in. Fortunately with the motor out, it will make it easy enough to install standing in the engine bay

Thany you Chuck for the install "procedure" and old adhesive remover tip. That is great advice and will be a big help on installation
