Default 6' Poster, scanned, awaiting photoshopping..

Ok! I have the poster scanned ($52), and the copies will be $4 per/SF x 16sf: $64 + tax, so the before-shipping pricing will be:

52/20 (I have to commit to 20) = $2.60
+ $69.30 ($72 total for the poster per person)

I have not researched tube-pricing yet, but I have options. Image of poster will go to Rennlist photoshop volunteer from previous thread for "fixing" of any/all blemishes, including the removal of the silly scripted lettering.

I'll have the final price for people to pay probably sometime tomorrow after I've packed up the original in a new tube & calcuated the average shipping.

$ will be accepted via Paypal, & I'll ask people to include the fee (<2%) as I don't mind not making $ on this, but certainly don't want to be out any as anyone can understand.

Mark

I'd love the digital image too if that can be worked out. So if the red Porsche script is removed, is it being left blank or will Porsche 928 be added back in the Porsche font??? Think if it could be in the Porsche font that'd look sharp.

I'll see what Kelly can do: I have Porsche's font on my HD.

I need to take an anti-cheese poll: "Porsche: There is no substitute" would be cool at the bottom, as the phrase was coined to popularity because of the 928/Risky Business

Thoughts?

Thanks to PhotoShop, the various versions could all be available in print.

Mark-- What's the format of the scanned image file you have? Just curious. I guess a hi-res scan of an image that large would chew up a bunch of hard drive space. I'd love to have a copy of the original file on CD, plus the various versions that folks are asking for with the different or no lettering at all. Please let me know the cost. Don't be afraid to add some $$ to cover your time and effort on this.

Also: The space on my office wall won't hold a six foot poster. Are you going to offer smaller (and larger...) prints at the same cost per square foot? I'me sure that more folks could handle a smaller version for the office, and the full-sized or larger for the workshop.

Thanks for all the work!

BTW, I have an excellent PhotoShop artist on retainer if you need that cleanup work done.

Hmm, I could do that (offer 2 sizes). Anyone care to comment on what a good smaller size would be? The semi-gloss paper runs $4 SF per image.

how about 1:1 so when my neighbors drive by they think i have another one!

BTW, I'll take one when they are available
I think a good idea would be to render different ideas on photoshop and let folks see.. you dont want to be doing 50 differnt posters!!

Mark,

Not to beat a dead horse, but now that you know the final costs, you might want to get another final, final tally on the number of posters requested. I don't know what the time frame is for printing, but I for one, would be glad to pre-pay even before the presses begin rolling. Having a final number and the money in your hand(s) would limit any exposure on your part and would get a concrete number to be printed. I don't believe anyone on the board would set out to stiff you, but this would totally eliminate the possibility. A "last call" and deadline might even bring the costs down if there are even more who respond. Just my $0.02.

After all, since you took the ball and ran with it, I'd say you should be the one to say how all of this should work. Again, many thanks to you for doing this. Just tell me how much and where to send the money.

Regards,

David

What if I just want a digital copy of the poster? I don't have a garage, but I would like just a digital copy of the poster after it has been retouched so I can, in the future, add whatever script I want and get it printed on whatever size I desire. Great work BTW.

Thanks guys. We REALLY need to shoot for 20 copies. I think we'll be over 10, and it's $4.50sf for 10 copies, or $4 for 20 copies. I just don't know the shipping/tube costs yet to ask the total. The retouched scan will be available early next week, so hopefully by Tuesday, I'll have all the numbers & can start gathering funds.

I guess I could use FEd-x tubes & use their ground service, but USPS needs to be checked first.

Mark.

Mark, please keep me in mind when thinking about shipping. Still want one, text with Porsche font if possible. Naturally I'll pay higher shipping into here.
