To each his own, of course, but for me the best color on a 928 is black. They look sinister in black.

After installing GTS quarters & rear cover, I'm debating what color to paint my beloved 928. Not that the concensus will change my mind but I'm curious,...what color do you folks think looks best on a 928?
Thanks, Hammer

Have you got any pics of the 86.5 with the GTS rear quarters, and bumper cover "installed" ??? I'd like to see what that looks like...even before you paint the car. If you have any photos...pleeeze post a couple.

I've had a black one also, but now am a bit biased on polar silver metallic.

I've already owned four black vehicles. I'm well acquainted with the color.

Truth be told, the only cars I've ever purchased that weren't black have been the p-cars. Looking to correct that situation with a 928. Maybe sooner, maybe later, but no maybe it'll be black.

It's in progress. I have a few without quarters if I can shrink them to fit in a post. I just modified the rear body panel to fit the rear cover. Not for the faint hearted. (Jim Bailey was right) That'll be my next thread! Soon!

Was not a fan of black before I saw the 928 i have now. Also had compliment on the combination of car and color; it does look mean. As for keeping it cleen, I use the famous "California Duster" I believe it is called and it's fantastic, wipe the dust off every night before covering it up...

Well, yours is a particularly rarer and beautiful combination. You are very lucky to have found this gem!

So Hammer you discovered how different the rear cross bulkhead is for the S-4 ! Now you KNOW. I get the feeling that many times people think I overstate how much surgery is needed to make the S-4 cover fit the rear of an early car.
