defrost vacuum actuator

During my HVAC updating sometime ago I managed to pull off the green line that provides vacuum to the defrost actuator.
Can anyone please provide direction as to how I get it reattached without total dash dismantle.............TIA

The defrost actuator is located behind the pod. Pull the steeringwheel, pull the pod, presto. Much easier than pulling the console. You might even be able to see it if you pull the parcel tray and the other plastic covers that hide the turn signal switch and the intensive washers/instrument lights/wiper delay *****. It's on the right side of the steering wheel.

Might be able to see it but probably can't attach the hose without removing the pod.

Won't work... It's well to the left of the center console.
Regardless, because of 1 nut on the right siade of the center console it's probably easier to pull the pod.

Pop off the horn pad to expose the steering wheel nut. Remove nut, remove wheel.
Remove all the plastic covers (IIRC, 2 screws for the intensive washers/rheostats cover; and 2 bolts + 1 screw (screw is sort of hidden) for the turn signal cover) from under the steering wheel/pod
Loosen the turn signal assembly (there's one bolt that clamps it to the steering column) and remove. There are 2 unusually shaped plugs that need to be unplugged.
Once you remove all the covers, and the turn signals, you can look underneath the dash. There are two hex bolts that attach to clamps that hold the pod in place. You may need a flashlight to see, but they're pretty obvious Loosen these and the pod should slide forward/up. I use a hex socket with an extension.
Rotate the pod so you can feel around for the ribbon cables that attach to the gauges. These are held on by pinch type connectors--"unpinch" them and they slide right off. These can be fragile, so be careful. You may want to clean up metal traces on the back of the gauges--I used scotchbrite but was lectured that this is too abrasive
; someone else suggested using a pencil eraser.
You will also need to remove the plugs from the back of all the pod switches (odometer reset, lights, defrost, etc.) Be careful, because some of these plugs are identical; I once plugged in the odometer reset to the driving light switch, and vice versa. There are a couple spade connectors for the rheostats and intensive washers.
The instrument pod should come off, and you can see the defroster pod.
After you loosen the pod, you may want to see if you can wiggle it around to expose the defroster pod without removing the ribbon cables and other wiring. This would make it a lot faster, as it takes a while to get the plugs back onto all the switches.
I'm telling you all this from memory, so it's not guaranteed to be 100%, but I've done this enough I think I have a pretty good visualization.
