Antilock break light on.
I have a question on a antilock light on my dash that will not go off. The light came on one night when I was driving down a back road at about 105 mph it was very humid outside and a deer jumped out of no where. I hit the breaks pretty hard. The car came to a stop really fast with no loss of control. After I took my foot of of the break and started to drive off the light came on. I havent noticed any change in the breaking at all. Has anyone had this problem before and if so how do I fix it. ps. I really appreciate all you guys help.
About 1 month after buying my "new" 87 928S4 I braked hard, had the ABS light come on, replaced the relay, no more ABS Brake light on dash- brakes work well.
Someone whi is more knowledgable will no doubt have more to say.

Sounds like the relay to me too....buy a used one for 928intl....only about $40...thats what I did...just be careful plugging it in...don't push too hard or you'll crack the fuse panel (ask me how I know)

If the ABS light comes on right away it is often one of the relays but if it only comes on after you drive several feet it probably is a wheel sensor issue ...not counting teeth often a poor connection.
This has stayed on every since the hard braking and has not gone off. I tryed the whole rest by negitve and positve unplugged for 5 to 10 minutes and got the same out come. I just ordered my fuel filter for replacement. I guess I will order the relays also and replace them..... I'am really thing about just replacing all of them and just be do with all relays and fuses... Thanx for the heads up.

Check your fuse for corrosion and replace the fuse even if It looks good. I once had an ABS light come on and the fuse looked 100% I replaced the fuse and it all came good.

Relays will often stick open or closed. Tap the case and/or pull and reinsert. If that works, you will know better what to replace. If you know which contacts are switched and which are power feed, pull the relay and insert a jumper .... to test.
