There is a fellow here in Tucson who has had that done exactly. I'll see if I can get ahold of him for you. The shop he went to recovered his whole car, I'll likely go to them for the door panels and such.

Thanks, Heinrich and Tim!
I can personally vouch for the quality of Rob's pieces - very high quality leather and workmanship. I just need to get around to putting them on!

I haven't heard from the leather guy yet. Its still snowing here in Michigan so I think he's still in Florida. Can't blame him at all.
Thanks for all the support, I'll keep working on it.

I'm in for a full set of Classic Grey. Since I need two more people to come in with me on this, I hope I'm not the only one.
I've got the $$$ set aside, I hope you can make this happen!

It's a go!
I heard from the leather guy last night. I was a about 1500 miles off. He wasn't in Florida. He was snowmobiling in the UP of Michigan for the last 3 weeks.
I'll meet with him this week to discuss price and scheduling and start making calls to the leather suppliers for their prices and color availability.
Last time the only colors available were from this chart.
http://www.gahh.com/smp-v20-c05-a.php
The black was #917 and brown was #924. Check the chart for your color.
A tentative schedule will look like this.
I'll have the prices set Friday of this week or sooner. 2/24/2006
Four weeks for everyone to gather funds and make payment. 3/23/2006
Order materials 3/24/2006.
Materials received by 3/31/2006
Two-three weeks for production, I'll start shipping them by 4/21/2006 or sooner.
I'll hope to have info on the vinyl option this week too.
Last time I set up a PayPal link so you can use a credit card and some folk sent me money orders and checks. We'll do the same thing this time.
Once the prices and schedule are firm, I'll post info as it progresses.

That's great! But...
AHH! Not the color chart from GAHH!
Can't tell those browns apart and, I believe, that #924 is a lighter brown than I need. Actually in the middle of getting new dye from Leatherique as they referred me to that and when I asked for 934 they sent 924.
This shows the browns better:

The dark is #928 there. The #924 dye I got from Leatherique matched the #924 on the World Uph page.

Hey Rob: I'm not trying to move in on your project here, but I will be making covers of my own in a short while. I plan on offering the pod covers and some door panel parts that your guy does not want to make. If we get together and share your leather supplier, we should be able to offer a full set of matching covers to those who need them.
I will have my first pod covers in a couple of weeks.
Let me know
Paul

Once they sent a hide of 934 by mistake. It was a really dark, almost black.
