Question Recommended auto paint supplier

Does anyone have an automotive paint supplier in Colorado that they recommend? I am going to paint 2 cars and would like to work with a reputable supplier so that I don't have to re-paint in a year or two due to bad materials. I am going to use original colors ('82 Porsche Platinum Metalic, and 2005 Mustang metalic green).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Have you tried the Yellow Pages ?? Most towns of any size at all, have local paint houses that supply the area body shops with all the materials they need. If you know the paint code you need, they can make it in-house...in whatever quantity you need from spot repairs and single panels to complete car basecoat-clearcoat replacements. Enamel or Lacquer..they can do it all (for a price)

I would recommend you use BASF Diamont or Glasurit. Pretty expensive but it is probably oem and are high quality paint. It is what we always use and and have had only one problem in the last 10 years or so.

Ask for Nano or platinum clear coat by Glasurit or Standox. That is the new super hard, chip-resistant paint the new Mercedes models come with. It's a litle harder to spray (higher risk of runs, so I hear), but supposedly after 2 days it is car wash resistent.

You might also get it through the Mercedes dealer.

If you can't find Glasurit BASF Diamont is basicly the same stuff. We use Glasurit in our Diamont mixing system when we are out of the BASF mixing colors. Any other questions feel free to ask. Very important to use a high quality primer also.

Also be very carefull if you intend to spray it yourself most paints are toxic some EXTREMELY. Even the sanding dust can be hazardous.

I don't know about Ford, but Glasurit has the formulas for all Porsche colors on their site.
