Lifter replacement on a 1980 how difficult?

So what? My 81 clicks off / on all the time - I just ignore it.

Last year I pulled my heads, re-lubed all the lifters (all looked perfect) same clicking before / after.

I guess coming from the Audi world, if the lifters are not clicking, something else is broken.

I say drive it and ignore the click. A LOT of work to replace them.
