It would be interesting to see how a higher stall torque converter and drag radials would work for you.

I agree with Jim, Good stuff Tony!!!!!!

I wonder why they use two different systems.
Thats what our tree was running that night...presatge..stage...then ALL 3 yellows at the same time...and GREEN.

Last season they actually had a traffic light..., seriously.
The amber light was prestage...when the red light came on you STOPPED, staged.....then the green light would go on....GO... SIMPLE.

Ill see if there any videos out there from that night...there sometimes are.

109mph top speed, what rpms are you at when you cross the line? 2.2 auto?
how about tires. drag DOTs???

great job, thats fast!

maybe you do need that 3.09 on the auto!

Your all gonna kill me for this guys, as i can see where this will all go, but i tell ya what MARK, the drop of in rpms on the 2-3 shift is really what kills the speed and time in my car. 3rd gear is too tall from 2 and it feels like eternity for the rpms to climb like they do in 1st or 2nd. Ill post the data log today and you will see how rpm climbs compared to 1st and 2nd

yeah, when i get picky, i will drop the passenger seat, amp, rear seats, glove box junk tool kit.....soda bottles etc etc

Even though the rev limiter was slightly raised by the chip change it was still not enough to run the car without shifting into 4th.
.
I never make the shift into 4th...not even close. in my 2.20 auto

Tony,

Yup, you are right. The auto trans shouldn’t even be close to 4th at the finish line.

Is the data logger part of the G-tech or is this something else?

At ATCO they have days where you can line up and get the pro lights, but the R/T is always .001 perfect. I wish i kept some pix last time from the track, they showed my RT time of .101 on the scoreboard, but they were pretty blurry so i just tossed them(my drunken uncle took them, lol).

I just barely shift into 3d in my A/T 2.20 car. Probably about 100 feet from the traps i guess. Having a second gear that will pull into the low-mid 90s will cause that.

LOL.

this is the 12.8 log
vertical green line is the appx start..redline appx finish 12.8sec later.
The thin grey/black lines mark the area where the data tags along the bottom were taken.
the orange line is fuel presure. The numbers are correct not the unit of measure(volts).
The RPM is appx 200-300 rpm high from what i can gather, not sure why. Ive tried numerous settings on the set up.

HTH

Looks like in second gear the injector are maxed out but the A/F radio is still good. You must be running right at the limit of what the injectors can produce. I was told that if the duty cycle goes over 80% its time for bigger injectors. Are you upgrading when the smaller pulley comes?

This is a neat tool, it really does show everything that you need.

Are you flat shifting tony?

If not, that does help a little bit with RPM drop.

Shifting a manual transmission without taking your foot off the gas.

Very common term in these parts.
