Default Has anyone here bought the "raised" lettering?

I was looking at Nicole's online shop and noticed the "raised" "928S4" lettering. I don't want the "Porsche" letting, but kind of liked what I saw on the "928S4" lettering.

Has anyone here used it? Like it? Have pics of it on their car?

I had it on my GT, hated it. When I was buffing, polishing, washing if I wasn't careful I could snag it.

I have both the "PORSCHE" & 928S4 on the back of my 87 .I think that they look great, but you do have to use caution when removing wax. I do not have any pics myself, but Nicole took a few of em at Devek days last year. Gerry

Nicole,

I like the look of that. If I ever decided to remove it does it leave any lasting marks? I would assume it's just a sticky back?

I just use a soft tooth brush to wax and polish around mine....I like the look alot, and it was stock, unless you got the "insignia delete" option.....I purchased these from DR and painted them myself.

Me too.

My 90GT came from the factory with them (non US car) and I like it too.

Yes the Genuine Porsche raised letters (928S4, 928GT) come white ready to paint for around $10-11 for the set. I also think it is cool that Nicole's are available pre-painted in the most popular colors.

I just ordered a set of red "928S4" letters from Nicole. I have never seen the red letters on a white car so I figured I'd give it a shot and see how it looks.

I have a set, its basically a urethane domed effect stacked to a vinyl subrate and adheres with a thick 3m VHB tape. I like the look of the letters from a straight on viewing position, but I dont like that I can see there is a color difference on the sides of them with the tape, which is about 3/32" thick. I have Jager's ones.
Maybe the geniune posche raised doesn't have the thick tape sides, I dont know the answer to that.

The adhesive tape on the Porsche part is not visible when looking at the pieces mounted on the car from the top down. At least not on the set I have.

The nice thing about the Jager lettering is that there are a variety of color choices (we can custom order it in lots of materials/colors), or it can be painted. One customer painted it to match his yellow brake calipers - I wish I had a high quality picture of the result.

I have never had a complaint about the lettering - but a few customers raved about how nice it looks.

Um, Nicole - the issue was the thickness of the adhesive tape...
