You could also use letters like this...... All stock items.. "928" from a GTS, "S" from a Boxster S, and "4" from a Carrera 4...

Hi Sterling:

Are you refferring to flat as "flat surface", or flat in the sense of "matte"?

Neither is a standard color, but we can make just about anything you want. There might be some upcharge for custom work, which I'd have to inquire for.

If matte: Did you want the letters to be flat, or would you prefer then with more rounded edges?

We can make 928 SG in the standard S4 lettering, too. Upcharge for the CAD work and special order handling in this case would be $50.

Well, in some cases, the thick adhesive is essential for the piece to stick. For example, the surface for the PORSCHE lettering is not even - its more curved - and a thin adhesive could not adjust to that curve. As a result we'd have little contact area, and the lettering would not last. The same is true for some interior areas where the adhesive needs to be soft enough to adjust to the surface.

But for the "928S4" lettering, which goes on a pretty much flat surface, this is not as big of an issue.

Let me discuss this with Paul.

On my car is the "928 s" lettering from Jager; the lettering was red that I ordered but the thick tape that was clearly visible was colored white or biege. Unfotunately, because the lettering is not that big and the stroke is pretty small in width, you could definately see the tape color difference.

Was mine an accident or a fluke?

The adhesive is certainly more visible on bright or dark colors. That's just in the nature of the materials involved.

The original PORSCHE lettering - as far as I know - is injection molded. That is very expensive to make the toolling, and very inflexible when it comes to material and color choices. For example, you have to run a lot of material through the injection molding machine for a color choice (yes, I've worked on a such machine during High School years). Or you have to paint. And if you want a special letter or symbol, you have to create a new mold, which costs more than a whole bumper cover.

I don't claim the Jager lettering is perfect in all aspects. But it's a solution that allows us to give 928 owners a lot of different choices in material and color, and at an affordable price.

At this time we can offer 18 different colors or materials -- without the necessity for painting. I don't stock them all, but can get you whatever you like best, or best fits your shark.

Nicole,
Can you get the "928GT" lettering? I did see it on your site.

I upgraded to the GTS bumper cover. With that cover, there was more room for this emblem set.

Cheers,
Michael
