Default Best shocks for the money?

Hi,
I'm in the midst of doing some much needed repairs to get my 928 back into good running order again and the boge front shocks which IMO kind of suck and didn't last long are ready to be replaced. I'm planning on having this done on Tuesday and my mechanic needs to know which ones to order for me. The car is an '80 3spd with some turbo twist 18's and S-type adjustable spring seats up front. It also has Eibach lowering springs. I'm looking for longevity but not necessarily the best (stiffest) ride (I think the 18's make it a bit harsh already). Any suggestions on a cost effective shock that fits the bill?

You really have just two choices if your not happy with the Boges. Bilsteins or Koni. The Koni internally or externally adjustable are both good if you plan any track or infrequent spirited driving. The Bilsteins are equally good, but non adjustable. I had externally adjustable Koni's on my 89GT and loved them, now I have Bilsteins on my 93 GTS. Both cars also had the Eibach springs. The advantage of the Koni's was; at full soft they were a little more comfortable than the Bilsteins and could be stiffened for spirited driving or track use. Pick your poison
