Default Potential EBAY Scam!!

These azzholes just won't give up.

'85 5-spd...ad says it is SOHC and 315hp..."One Owner"

The dead giveaway (other then the 0 feedback...)

Car is in Surf City, NC - look at the pics. I don't recall much snow on the ground there of late!

If you report the listing to ebay it will usually go away.

Yep - I have reported dozens of these.

I emailed the seller saying I have a friend that can come look at it in the morning.
I am SURE I'll get the standard - "I'm out of town" response - or some such BS!

Anita-

I saw your ad for the 928 on Ebay. Can you tell me the maintenance history - specifically I'd like to know the if the Johnson-rod was replace at the 100k mile interval as prescribed by Porsche. That's an expensive part that wouldn't want to go bad if I were to buy this.

Thanks.

Did you also ask if the Serial Geralfrang is Pneumatic-Oscillated of Mechano-Revoluted? (as we all know the Pneumatic-Oscillated for that year have a tendency to rearward-traverse, which can cause all sorts of problems down the road).

Response from Anita... SCAM!
Hello,

The car is located in Surf City NC, in excellent running and body
condition, no flaws on it or any other mechanical problems. It has a clear
title and it will be signed and notarized on your name as soon as the
payment will be completed.
Regarding payment I am aware of the buyer's protection and we will use
eBay's motors vehicle purchase protection program which will hold the
payment until you receive the car. If you are interested you will be asked
to make a deposit of $2,950, the buy it now price is $7,500.
However, the deposit is 100% refundable if the car is not as described.
If you are interested please provide me the following information's
necessary to take a decision :
-your full name and address for shipping
-your phone #
-any negative feedback and if so .... for what reason.
If I receive the requested information you will be informed by eBay during
the next hours with details about your purchase.
The car will be inspected and evaluated by eBay's team so there is no need
to ask me about it's condition as long it will be a guaranteed purchase by
eBay.
Thank you,

Anita Justice

Same template too. Oh, talking about the rare 16 and 32 valve models how much would a 12 valve be worth? What is that? 1.5 valves per cyl?

Not only is the car not mint, it sounds like a scam. Since when does e-bay inspect the car and guarantee it?

Missing spoiler, scratched drivers fender, missing speaker grill. Who cares.

And ohhh, it must be the Anita the supreme court justice. How original.

It looks like the typical scammer reply.
