I can vouch for John's work as well. I have his EPROMs and Spanner - both work great. He is very responsive to questions and willing to help in any way he can.

Stig, I have one of his MAF's and it was here in no time and works like a charm. Fixed my problem pronto. He had a guy here in NY with one to send me. Great work, highly recommend. Good guy, answers all your questions that you might have and quickly.

From all the positive comments on John I'm sure his work is first class. If you don't want to send your part over the ocean you may do well to get in touch with Kevin @ www.injectionlabs.com He had a shop near my house but packed up and went to CO last year. I am not affiliated with this company. Just offering some options for those who are interested.

Air Mass Meter: The right solution leads the way

Injection Labs' most widely known product is the Bosch Air Mass Meter, or air mass sensor.Research of air mass sensors on the market, conducted by injection Labs before it began to manufacture the product, revealed a high warranty return rate caused by platinum wire failure. While competitors attempted to address the problem by modifying a different part of the circuit, Injection Labs began working on the real solution - developing a longer-lasting, failure-resistant wire.

After years of development - creating platinum alloys, producing precision wire drawings and designing custom tooling - Injection Labs began producing its own new wire elements that could stand the test of time. The result: a remanufactured air mass sensor containing virtually all-new components (except for the housing) that in many cases are more durable and reliable than the original items. In fact, these wire elements and other components manufactured in-house by Injection Labs were such an improvement, even competitors soon began purchasing them, both in North America and abroad.

Hi Andy
It's a small world these days :-)

As has been said, My rebuilt MAFs are available from 928 Intl. If you aren't sure the MAF is the problem, and can't borrow a known good one, I can offer a "try before you buy" through my NY partner.

Regards

Hi Roger,

HTML Code:

Marton, Did you dig into the CERN LEP?
Were you successful to buy that radio in ebay?

Good idea to dig into the CERN LEP. You know that every swiss building must by law have a nuclear shelter - this does add a bit to the construction costs.

Some boring facts
The Swiss defence minister, Samuel Schmid, has praised Switzerland’s civil protection which was developed during the Cold War. About 95 per cent of the population could now find room in an anti-nuclear shelter and in case of emergency quickly find shelter there.
There are no fewer than 270,000 shelters in Switzerland.
The Beaulieu Exhibitions and Congress Centre in Lausanne has the largest with room for 3,000 people.
He said that nowadays, the trend was to build bunkers to shelter 50 to 200 people because they were easier to manage.

Come on, some of you must want to turn old MAFS or LH ecus into greenbacks?
Think of the benefit to other 928 owners when they can get get renovated units off the shelf

Email or pm me

Marton
Under Swiss law, among other rules one's nuclear shelter must have at least 200 litres in stock to drink. Mostly I have Californian Cabernet Sauvignon & Chardonnay; Beer does not have a long enough shelf life
