Well very broad question I know, but... what is the best 928 to purchase?
What were the engine ratings and different options and features and majour changes (aside from cosmetic ones in 87')
yeah, just tell me more about the sharks.

'80-'83 Euro S (no sun roof) 5-speed. It's fast, (somewhat) lightweight, and (somewhat) simpler electronics, and also slightly easier to work on mechanically.

My $0.05

'91 GT. Has the sweetest engine and I believe that it is the rarest year for the GT. The '91s benefit from improvements found in the later cars through the GTS including better sound insulation, better door seals, lighter steering, parking brake that doesn't grab your pant cuffs, etc.

Yes, I am biased.

I'm with Cameron on this... '91 GT, a very fine year indeed. He forgot to mention these other fine attributes: express open for windows and sunroof, blinky led's in the door lock posts, digital dash, plus you can easily add keyless entry!

Yes, I'm biassed too.

My other choice would have been an 84-86 Euro with 310 HP. Those thngs are rocket ships!

1989 GT with no catalytic converter and a leather covered dashboard:
A Club-Sport with a good equipment and a nice dashboard.

Or you can buy mine!

Yes folks shes going up for sale in a couple of months. I'm keeping my track shark but my new Career neccesitates that I drive clients around town. (investments properties)

Seriously - an Euro S2 - IMO - the best bang for the buck.

Buy the one that speaks to you. Test drive different modles and decide which body style you like the best. Nothing beats getting in the seat and finding out for yourself which one best suits your desires.

S4 Auto $8k-$20k
S4 5spd $10k-$22k
GT 5spd $18k-$30k
GTS Auto & 5spd $30k-$80k

Of course condition has a lot to do with values.

And to add to Ern's post, GTS had 345HP IIRC.
