Yeah, that's my understanding too, but there are inline resistors that can be added to show the appropriate resistance to the bulb monitor. See these guys: www.superbrightleds.com

How do I get rid of the black piece between the lamps for something that belnds in???

928 International offers a kit in their online store that consists of the clear plastic pieces that go on each side of the fog light assemblies of the Euro / ROW models. Onen of these pieces replaces the black bumper - which would have been done much more easily while the car was disassembled.

Do a search here for the posts from Keith Widom, Sterlilng, and I believe Heinrich, who have done this before. They all developed their own tricks to get to otherwise inaccessible nuts, which need to be removed.

I have the parts here, but have the project of installing them still ahead of me...

I bought my father some for his 86 1/2 last year (from 928Intl), after placing some on my 91 and I think it looks a lot better. I haven't posted pics of his with the new clears on yet, so here are some of his and mine (old/new).
