Hi bro, does the original relay have a voltage pull as well? Find the ignition relay and remove it you may see your drain go away i think it is a #53 same as the horn relay, Stan

thanks, well.....i can't find the old relay. i must have thrown it away. the battery has been draining down after an extended period of not driving the car. i just got around to trying to figure it out. i pulled each and every relay and fuse. this relay is the only one that is pulling amperage. the clock and radio are the only other culprits, which is normal.
i'll look again for the old relay and try the ignition relay again.
thanks for your help,
hotty toddy,
jay

Jay,
a 2 ma drain shouldn't make much of a difference in how long it takes to draw down your battery. Normal draw w everything 'off' is around 34ma for an S4. You may have a higher drain than just what you're seeing from the relay. You'll need to measure at the battery (between the neg post and ground.). There was a thread recently on doing this. You'll need to have the hatch switch disconnected if you're going to leave the hatch open.
