Actually, I had those first, but only have 4 pairs left. I'm trying to get my friend to make more, but he has not committed to it, yet. He says that on German ebay they went for over 100 Euros when he sold them there - that would be over $120. What a bargain they are in my store...

Incidently, that picture was taken just a few meters from the graves of Frank and Ivy Stranahan, the couple that essentially founded the city of Fort Lauderdale. I'm not just some pilot who is a gear-head; I have other interests, and one of them is history... I'm a docent and do guided tours of the Stranahan house, which is the private home of Frank and Ivy, and is a historical home that is managed by the Ft.Lauderdale historical society. Look carefully in that pic and you can see that one of the tombstones is actually "Stranahan".

Ivy was extremely religious, and Frank, who worried that road construction would either result in excessive taxation or bankruptcy...was essentialy against cars and roads. He never had a drivers licence- Ivy drove him around, and after he died, she was famous for her lack of driving skill. From what I was told, Ivy didn't understand the concept of "less than 100 mph", and collected tickets all the time. The interestate highway didn't exist at the time = Ivy drove her '50's Buick with the foot to the floor. Inline 8 cylinder Buicks of the time could hit about 100 mph if you pushed them, and Ivy did just that!

YES she had glasses 1 inch thick! They eventually conviced her that she probably didn't need to drive, and the family that rented a building from her drove her around everywhere. Ivy died in 1971. Her and Frank are burried about 30 feet to the left of my car in that pic.

It's an awesome shot. The 928 being black makes it even better. A hot pink 928 in a cemetery just wouldn't look the same.

What is with the black turn signal - did you paint it?

Note that Normy has his aftermarket side markers painted in black, so in this light the car has the more pure Euro-look to it... Neato!
