Default Air induction tubes

Hi as we all know those GTS insulated tubes are big bucks, is there any genuine tubes that are made of plastic and don't neck down like a venturi available? So a consistant straight through design. If so please which model are they from and if there is a part no please post it if you could.

Thanks Greg

My early euro had laminated aluminum foil & paper tubes. I think they were repaced by the venturi style... ? You may need to go with aftermarket or the Mercedes style if you want straight through. What do you find disagreeable about the venturi style?

I met a guy at OCIC in 2004 who used a Mercedes part...I think it was from the older SEL line. Or, you could just go with a purosil style hose.

They are really nice and the black hoses are actually made by Mercedes Benz. The guy who sells these on Ebay cuts them and fits the silicone hose in between to make them fit (you choose the color). Got mine for about $60. I can also try to look on the hose if there is a MB part number on it

Usually I mentally associate "some guy on ebay" with less desirable sorts.

I may have to adjust my thinking. Dave Lomas is no "some guy", that is for certain!

Schocki's looks great!

I knew they were one of your products, that's why I said "from a quality source". I figured one of your team would chime in soon enough.

Any noticeable difference in performance with your 'GTS style' tubes?

Where did you get the materials to make yours, Alan? I like the smooth 'stealth' look they have.

Dave's look like a quality choice for the price.

It's all the same, hose is hose. Often people think the stock 928 air filter is too restrictive as well, not the case at all.
