Default fitting size

Well, after the morning under the car, I have my new sway bar installed, prepped the calipers for paint and have removed the exhaust system in hopes of soon receiving my new cross over from 928 Specialists. I've ordered the "with cats" version, but it's my understanding that the new cats don't have the air connection that my old ones had.

My problem is determining the size of the fitting that will "plug" the old air supply line. I assume it's metric and I have no way of sizing it. It drops down from what I believe is the "change over valve" mounted at the top of the block about level with the valve cover, directly under the air intake hose..

I assume I need to plug it?

Can someone help me?

Thanks
Rod

You need to stop the airpump from pumping air if you're going to plug the line. Unless you have a visual inspection for emissions, just yank the air pump and hoses. If you have a visual inspection, pull the pump, remove the vanes, and reinstall the pump.

Thanks, I've already pulled the belt and pulley off the air pump. I'll get around to removing the pump .... eventually.
