Default Bad Brake Light Socket 88' S4

The left brake light socket on my S4 has corroded and one of the electrical connections has broken off. Anyone parting out an S4 or have a spare left brakelight harness handy?

I am also thinking of just manufacturing a little folded metal contact. Should be easy enough to solder in place. Anyone else done some creative fixes on this? Apparently it's a gig enough problem that the S4 tail light wiring harnesses are on back order from Porsche. There has to be a better way.

As a matter of fact, I believe that I do have a full set of used front seat leather, and I think the uppers are good on both (some shade of grey). As I happen to be moving this weekend, now would be a good time to get rid of them. I am quite stocked in the seat department at this time.

You could buy a plain socket from an auto parts store and pull the contact you need out or install the whole socket.

Maybe, but I'd like to keep it stock if possible.

We have 2 new harnesses in stock but if someone finds a replacement socket I'd love to know about it.

Really? Have any used harnesses? I was trying to avoid the high dollar option unless I find no other fix. It looks simple enough to fix, can't understand why Porsche always has me replacing more than just the problem part itself. Might have known you guys would have a new one though.

My 928 are driving me to

Sorry, the brake light was the one I used from the harness. Someone mentioned about a VW part they found as a replacement, couple of years back.

That figures.....so I bought the used harness from 928 Intl. I'm going to play with the old harness though and see what I can come up with. If the left side went, the right side is probably right behind it.
