For Sale: My Beautiful 1989 Red GT--Sale Pending
1989 928 GT For Sale.
Guards Red/Black. 59,6xx miles. Approximately 1 of 60 according to the 928 Registry. This car is in near show condition and is immaculate both inside and out. I have every service record from the day the car was sold new in a 3 ring binder. All service done on or before schedule, Mobil 1 only. All service done by the dealer or 928 experts in the bay area. The engine bay has been hand detailed and is showroom fresh. In the last 3k miles alone the rotor, cap, plugs, belts, oil, filter and clutch slave cylinder have all been replaced. Nothing mechanical needed at all (even the hatch release works and the dash temp sensor is new!). Clean carfax/title in hand.
Upgrades include GTS wing (Devek repro piece ($400) painted at a cost of $750 to make it perfect), GTS Mirrors ($400 plus paint), GTS shifter ($100), 930S Steering wheel ($425), Nakamichi CD 450 ($400), McIntosh/Helix speakers/Eclipse Amp with custom spare tire area subwoofer ($1000), Street Wire connectors, 996 Carrera 5 spoke wheels ($2300) with Pirelli PZero Rosso. Receipts for over $5,500 in upgrades not including labor. All original parts carefully stored including forged GT wheels.
There is no finer 928 GT out there, and this is one of the nicest 928s period. This is my second 928 and it has been driven with care. Photos available.
Price:
Option 1: Return to stock except speakers, wires and GTS mirrors--$25,000
Option 2: Sell as is with all upgrades and originals--$28,000
Prices are firm. I am not in a rush to sell. With all respect intended, please do not reply to this thread with your thoughts on my pricing. I paid a good deal more for this car stock than what I am selling it for now. It’s a fair price for a premium car. I want it to go to a 928 person, its too nice and rare a car to be neglected in the future.
I can be reached at sweissman@coremetrics.com

From what I have heard about Seth's car over the years it is truly one of the nicest out there and well worth the asking price. If this were a year from now, I would jump all over this one!

I did see this car 2 years ago and it looks cleaner now than then... truely a creampuff.
George and Jims shop looks to be as clean as your car Seth. Which reminds me, you didn't happen to see some NSX rims lying around there did you?

That car is FILTHY!
Seriously... Wow! I'm waiting for my Aeor mirrors and I'm planning on painting the wing this winter too. Only difference (besides MY) is I have Classic Grey interior. Sorry to hear your selling, but this is a beautiful example. Do not sell it it to anyone who will not appreciate and care for this car!

The 89 GT has such nice features like no AIRBAGS,no computer controlled PSD limited slip, no RDK tire pressure system and lightweight FORGED wheels 8 inch front 9 in rears. Very, very collectible and desirable in red over black.
