That'd be really handy: a rev limiter controllable by lateral Gs. So far I'm using the grey matter (questionable).

I know the grey matter doesn't work well for me in certain racing situations.....

I agree! Maybe the experienced drivers have a braincell or two left over to look at the rpm's when they power out of a turn but not me... I did hit the rev limiter several time to try to get the most from my engine on some lovely(too few) rounds on Nürburgring this summer...

The "soft rev limiter" cuts every second spark at a set rpm(can be controlled by a G-meter), then at a higher rpm cuts ignition totally. I have been told it just feels like the power curve drops off, making you reach for the next gear, without the sudden juddering by the standard rev limiter. Hopefully that will be good for both engine and driver...

Maybe a G-meter could be used for traction control, modulating the throttle for maximum acceleration?
