I'm still listening, learning and looking. I have yet to sit in a 928, and you guys have already got me thinking about sticking a supercharger on one when I do buy (your obsession is contagious, by the way). It sounds like the Euro models probably aren't the best for a SC. Also the general consensus seems to be look for an 86.5 to 89 model based on my budget. I'm still stuck on Guards Red and a 5-speed. Thanks again for everyone's input and leads!

Actually, my last post gave me an idea. If there's a 928 owner in the Kansas City area on Rennlist that wouldn't mind showing me their car, I'd appreciate the chance to see one up close.

Most comfortable GT (if not any) car I have ever sat in. My first ride was a 400km drive and was not tired from it..AMAZINGLY comfortable.

Today at Frenzy there was an 86.5 for sale. I don't know how to contact the owner, but Scott M. sold him the car and should have all the info. The owner had plans to supercharge it and even has an Eaton blower sitting under in the back. edited to add: The car is not red, and I didn't look to see if it was 5-speed or auto.

If you like the Euros like myself and several others who have posted in this thread, you can still SC it. Dave Roberts at 928 Specialists is building a prototype on his 85 Euro right now. Eventually it will be available for all years and models.

As for the ABS side discussion: In Europe/ROW it was optional in 84 and standard in 85. In the US It was available in 85, but I don't think it was standard until 86 or 87. My 84 has ABS.

Im selling my 85 5 Speed. i've gone to the dark side - air cooled! Bought a 912 and it's much easier to maintain.

Anyway, it's in great shape, lots of receipts from prior owner who did EVERYTHING to get this car in the shape it's in.

goto http://www.curtperedina.com/porsche.html to check it out.

I've been waffling on selling it. Looking to get $9500 firm for it.

Email me if you're interested - my email is on the website.

Things not in the pics: chromed rims with new tires. Spare rims in good shape. Full set if manuals, spare (new) exhaust..etc,etc
