Default Chuck Z' been busy... Seen the 928 Registry lately?

Just went to lookup something on the 928 Registry. Chuck's been busy updating the site. Looks good! Just thought I'd give him some accolades!

If you've not registered your car, I suggest you do so.

Thanks Andrew! I've been pretty far behind for quite some time and finally got the registration pages working again. Recently, I changed the plan I was on with the company that hosts the site and the monthly cost went from $100+/month down to $37 and I can more than double the size of the site before the cost goes up again. I would like to thank Stan and others who offered to host.

If anyone sent me a registration or email request to add their car prior to October 1st, 2005 your car is now on the site. If you sent me one after that date, please be patient as Andrew mentions, I am in the midst of revamping the site. The update includes changing the background color from blue to black, making all the fonts consistent from one page to the next and making all the tables on each page (there are 1200 of them now) the same size. Hope everyone understands.

The 1995 928 GTS page is completed and reflects how everything will look when finished. ALL the 1995 GTSs that came to North America are now documented.... EACH & EVERY ONE OF THEM! Granted, some are more heavily documented than others but, there is something about each and every one of them. I also have updated the 1994 928 GTS page in the same manner although not all the pages have been standardized with consistent colors, fonts and sizes. The 1993 928 GTSs are next. I'm sure if you look at a couple of updated GTSs you'll be able to figure out where I got the info and I guess it would be possible to do it for most years of the 928 but frankly, it was a hell of a lot of work and I'm probably not up for it.

Sorry Martin. I wish I had the time to be able to add every 928 in the world..... ...maybe someday? Unfortunately for now I am focusing on cars in North America or US cars in other parts of the world (there is one record of a 1995 GTS being exported to Japan and we all know the story of the Pearlglanz green GTS).

I sincerely hope everyone enjoys the site and perhaps will someday find it useful/helpful when they need to know something about a particular 928. I love these cars and have met some great friends over the years. Sometimes the site gets to be a pain as I'm not always in the mood or have the time (work gets in the way) to do the necessary updates. Oh well, that's what a hobby is, .......right?

Oh, BTW............ .......SEND PICTURES after you fill out a registration form! If you've seen any of my posts, you know how I love pictures

Guys, I wish you could do updates to your cars too. Unfortunately, I am a novice at this web site thing and without authorizing more user permissions I'm not sure it could be done. Probably means revamping the entire site and I'm too far into it now to do that again. But., all you have to do if you'd like to update is send an email with the updated info/pictures and I'll do the update. Be sure to include your name and full VIN. May not be instantaneous but, it will eventually get done.

BTW Gretch, my wife suggested the red GTS letters to go along with the red Porsche letters on the mats, red GTS door sill emblem and of course the red strut bar (not done yet). ..........and in the not to distant future, red brakes too. I remembered seeing your sig and knew the red GTS letters would look great on a black 928!

Rixter, I still do like you but, there is the issue of the broken gas tank for the frog we still need to work out............. Just kidding, I know you'll take care of it when you get a chance. I remember you sending me the info, I just didn't come across it when doing the updates.

No worries Chuck, you have a great site, an asset to the 928 community, maybe somebody here in the UK should do one for the UK & one for the rest of Europe & also Oz. etc & then they could all be linked

One site covering all ROW ZZZ VIN's and US cars outside USA & Canada would be great. If page format were same as Chuck's site they could be easily integrated to point into each other in many levels. That is of course only if Chuck wants to give out code sample and is willing to have his site integrated.

PS. There is one thing I wish could be corrected on current site. On special models section it says 'Weiasach' when correct name is Weissach.

I will correct that when I get home this evening. Thanks for pointing it out. I welcome corrections as I look at it so much I just don't see them sometimes.

Great job Chuck! I keep meaning to register my car, but I don't have any good pictures. Maybe I'll get some good pics this weekend.

There's also a 1992 Euro GTS that says 1985 on the top of its page, and Rixter's 1977 is listed as the wrong color.
