Default Do these look stripped?

I called jet-hot about my cam covers that they sent back. They said they stripped the covers but couldn't coat them.

They almost look like they have a primer coating on them, but I've never seen them stripped. Jet-hot said they are stripped, but as you can see in 2 of the pics, they didn't do a very good job , notice the flaking.

Can anyone tell if they are indeed stripped by the photo's?

Many 928 cam covers are actually very poor castings with lots of holes and other flaws. What I see in your pictures look like casting flaws.

Yep, i'll 3rd that.

Casting quality varies a lot, powder coating sure makes a pig look pretty.

I still see a bit of flaking, inside the spark plug hole especially. Mine had to be sent out and blasted before they could be powder coated.
