Default Wheel stud removal tool

Hi All - greetings from Geelong in Australia. Hope you can help with an annoying, but yet to be disastrous, problem.

I have factory Porsche wheel lock nuts on my 1989 S4 and while preparing my car for a show and attemptng to remove the rear drivers side wheel, the lock nut just would not budge. Despite my mechanic applying his substantial bulk behind the socket wrench and applying 120 ponds per square inch of air pressure tool, it remains firmly locked onto the stud. The edges of the locking nut now appear to have been rounded, thus not providing much grip.

I noticed on the Nichols site that Paul Esposito had the same problem and appeard to have the perfect solution with a "nice socket type tool that has reverse threads that threads over the lock and backs the lock off the stud as it spins itself on".

Paul mentioned that he obtained this tool from "Snap-On" guys - does anyone have more details of this tool (part number, size, etc). I'd love to try this before
other methods which will probably damage the wheel.

Thanks and best wishes from Australia,
Roger Holding

There are several tips found in the search/archives function.
As the oem nuts are aluminium, they can be carefully drilled ( avoiding the stud and wheel), and split with a small cold chisel & hammer. Some of the methods are high on the humour content ...
edit ...BTW, hi 'downunder'!... click on the word 'tips' ( on my screen, its colour indicating a link is barely distinguishable).

Terrific replies, thanks Paul from UK and Garth from Nova Scotia, especially for the diagram and specs for the tool and the link to the tips site. Is the tool shown the same as the one referred to in the Nichols Site - Snap-On? I think I can sleep a little easier now!
Best wishes,
Roger Holding Geelong OZ (thanks also editor)
