Yeah, anyone knows how/if there were any stickers for the euro cars? Kinda weird having a sticker that says "Porsche North America" when mine is German

Certainly not in the UK and I don't remember seeing them in dealers in Europe. I think it is a US thing - irrespective of car manufacturer the same format seems to be used - as if it is a US DoT form ?

Now what would be incredibly cool would be an application that would let you input your VIN number or at the very least input your year, make and check off various options and then it would fully populate the window sticker. I double-dog-dare someone to make that.

I'd like to know too... I've "upgraded" to 2007 and it won't load for me either. Thanks Microsoft.

Edit: Got it to load on my 2007 Office. Will save and re-host a 2007 version.

I'm using Office 2007 at work and it loaded OK after I installed the Basic Dots font. But we are running the old version of Windows (Windows 2000 I think). So it may be a Windows issue, not an Office issue.

I'm using Office Pro 2003 and it loaded fine for me.
Could someone confirm the actual size of an authentic sticker?

Lightbulb window sticker app

I should be able to do this (technically), but I don't have the data (ie: base prices and option prices for the various models/years). If someone will get me these pricing details, I'll see what I can do to create an app that will auto-generate a window sticker (using some of the graphics of what Andrew has already done a great job with). I have most of the option #'s, I think, but don't have a clue where to get the corresponding costs.

So, I double-dog-date someone to send me these price details.

EDIT/UPDATE:
I'm working on a few options. I'll keep this thread posted.

Lightbulb window sticker generator

Whew!...ok, I have "something" for Porsche (928) owners to regenerate their window stickers! It's not perfect, and likely won't have the older model info, so those owners will have to enter all their standard equipment. All owners will have to enter their own options specific to their car, but if you have a relatively new model, you'll see the MSRP, standard equipment list and more......and it will produce the actual window sticker (as a PNG image file that you can download). It includes all the values in text boxes, so you can easily add/edit the values to your taste.....and it's all web-based, so no software or fonts to install.

Here's the link to my window sticker generator:
http://www.kellysoftware.com/softwar.../vin/index.php

Here's a sample output (with the VIN blurred on purpose) -

The challenge is determining the cost of the Options at the time. For mine, I just had to do a lot of research and estimated on the rear leather seat covers. I've found this site to be helpful with some option costs based on your VIN - www.decodethis.com

Thanks to Andrew Olson for the window sticker template. I did make a slight change to the template for accuracy.

Looks pretty cool. I get an error with my 1980 VIN, does this work only with the 1981+ 17 digit VINs?

Andrew, it may not work well with old VIN's. Send me a msg with your VIN and I'll look into it.

Lightbulb window sticker generator - for older VIN's

Hi Andrew,

I have modified the app so that when it is unable to decode an older VIN, you can choose to continue (bypass) the system and enter the info manually and still use the window sticker generator. Please revisit the same url and enter your VIN again.

Hope this helps.
