Default Door handle hinge replacement..DONE!

Not that bad. About an hour and a half not knowing anything other than how to remove the door panels. A good set of metric allan wrenches is a must. Long ones! Thanks to all that sent me advice and links to "how to's". I can now get in my car again the correct way!

Thanks..again, the writeups help but just figuring out what bolts to undo and getting light up there are the big time consumers.

I'm waiting for parts to fix my friends 78.... Gotta concur with you, I was thinking it would be a serious PITA, but the parts came out fairly easy....hopefully the new ones will go in just as easy! I do think the OB's vacuuim door locks is much smaller and makes in easier than the newer cars. Now if I can figure out how to open the passenger door on the same 78!! Both handles feel fine...but nothing opens the door!
