Question Need help.. with Replacement Speakers

Has anyone replaced their oem speakers with aftermarket speakers, and maintained the original look? I'm looking for the rear mid range & bass sets, but I don't want to make modifications, just simple remove & replace.

I've checked 928 International & 928 Specialist websites and no luck.

Hi Dave
MB Quarts make speakers which can be mated to the old rear speaker housings, this will give it a stock look plus improve the sound.

This has been discussed at length on the Forum. A search will give much info - including that the large speakers in the late cars are two-Ohm units, so changing speakers means changing amps as well...

If your problem is the foam ring around the speaker most repair shops can fix that problem easily and it isn't too costly.

I'm not sure what the physical problem is but when I play the system load the base is distorted preatty bad.. like a crackling sound. I'm trying to figure out the problem. I'm looking at a "surround repair kit" in the event that is the problem.
