GTS project finished.
I bought my 95 GTS auto 4 months ago. 2 POs, 36,000 miles and 10 stamps in the book from OPCs but still a lot of initial problems. It's now my daily driver and I have done nearly 5000 miles since May - and I love it. Thought the following list may be of interest! I will post a pic but the system says my JPEG file is too big and I can't work out to shrink it (and they let me out in a GTS!).
BTW - it's never going near an OPC again.
Polar silver, black hide, auto now done 40,500 miles and going live a dream
Full major service with timing belt, water pump, oil, coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid, tranny and PSD fluid change.
New pollen and air pump filter
Adjustment to n/s front wheel bearing (causing vibration that OPC told PO was down to tyres)
Bilsteins all round
Realignment and ride height
2 new knock sensors
4 new Michelin Pilot Sports
New reciever drier and expansion valve and a/c vacuum and refill
New Nakamichi ICE instead of original Sony head unit
Swapped wood interior for new black leather bits
New bonnet and tailgate struts
New door straps (why are these so crap??)
Bypassed and removed factory amp (why do so many of these fail??)
Removed spare tyre, pump and jack and replaced with two bottles of puncture sealant.
Still have intermittently working horn and temp gauge that reads minus 40C but investigating both.
Now off to rob a bank! Will post picture when I can work out how to shrink the file.
Cheers
Mark

It just absolutely amazes me when such a fine automobile is neglected or abused. How can someone take a well engineered vehicle and turn it into a "limper" in no time? This is a crime! Even if I had enough money to buy 10 new 928's in 1995, I certainly would have taken care of them!
Anyway, Drmark, you are a good man for doing what you have. I expect that this car has finally made it to it's rightful owner! Congrats and we applaud you. Show us some pics!

Excellent, one more saved from slow but certain death.
If you have more than few pictures needing resizing you could automate process with MIR. Selecting 640x480 size and 70-80% jpg quality should give suitable pics for uploading.

Dr.Mark, use www.photobucket.com, it automatically resizes when you host the pix, and it's free.
Then after it's uploaded you'll see three lines of URLs under the image on the photobucket site. Copy the bottom URL, and paste it here, and yer good to go.

You ALMOST got it right!
Add a [IMG] to the front of that URL you posted(you must've accidentally highlighted just a portion of the URL), and the image will display here.

Congrats, looks great. Nice work
Question.
You said you swapped out the wood bits for black. Were they factory rootwood parts and do you still have them? I am looking for factory wood pieces and would be interested in them if you are willing to part with them.

Well done, Doctor!
Let us know if you figure out the balky outdoor temp display.
I recently pulled my instrument cluster to fix a couple guages and replace illumination bulbs as well as clean all electrical contacts, yet the temperature display still reads low and fluctuates wildly at times. Many GTS models seem to have this issue - I'm starting to think the problem is with the temperature sensor rather than the display.
