Finishing a project 86.5 auto, narrowing down the little items...

Seems that I have almost no gauge function(s). No speedo/odo, no volt or gas readings and very little, if any, oil pressure/temp/tach. Also no dash lights but that may be a different issue. AND, I get a central warning light that won't cancel but no specific individual warning light.

I tried another gauge cluster from a different 86 auto, same deal-same spiel. I do have gear selected lights (i.e. PRD32) I pulled the gauge apart, cleaned all contacts and inspected items w/o luck.

Would the bulb controller unit be a likely suspect? When I got the car running (motor transplant) I had oil pressure and some tach, now almost nada...

Ideas??

 

bulb controller could be a suspect...
have you cleaned all the ground points?
I had an 82 in recently with same problem, cleaned all the grounds and 14 pin connnecor, voila everything started working
