Just saw a '95 GTS 5spd
I was with a few friends driving down Rosecrans and out the corner of my eye I see a silver 928 with silver rear wing driving through a parking lot. My first thought was "CHRIS' GTS", then realized that was physically impossible. I urged my friend to keep going straight then cut over into the next parking area so I could see if it was indeed a GTS.
He parked and was cleaning his car as I pulled up behind him. It was a silver GTS with no sidemouldings (the best looking 928 in my opinion). I stepped out and started chatting with him only to find that it was a pristine 5spd '95. The owner's name was Tom. He was at sharktoberfest last year and his car was at the petersen. We chatted for a bit then we went our separate ways.
That totally made my day... seeing one of the rarest 928s and getting to chat with the owner. He was surprised that I knew about the car and was able to appreciate it.
Just thought i'd share

Also you are not some punk kid.... but an owner... or soon to be re owner....
How are you Mike,
You should get a silver car like that... maybe an 89??? 5 spd...
I have given that squirt thing a bit of thought... a company builds them up and sells them with a harness... so I may be trying that out in the future... I will definitely be asking you for more advice...
I think that I will be doing some resto on the interior and then implement a mini ITX system... then megasquirt will be a bit easier...
I bought a twin electric fan like yours... how should i wire it???

Hey Loren!
I'm actually looking at the exact car you describe. I think its the darker silver (stone grey?). I made the owner an offer and I am awaiting his response.
I've been doing more reading on the squirt thing. Definately let me know when you're ready to do that. The first major mod i'm doing to the 928 (if I get it) will be just that.
Ah yes... many benifits to a mini itx. I had wanted to do that as well, but chances are it'll be one of the last things I do. What system are you using? I had spec'd out a VIA EPIA board with 1GHz processor that could run with a simple 12v power supply. There is a company called Xenarc that makes nifty wide-screen LCDs with touch-screen capability. If you haven't got your setup spec'd out yet, you should take a look at those items. Lots of info on the net too. Louis' idea is going to be amazing once he gets it finished (digital dash).
As for the twin fans... I looked for a wire in the fuse panel that was hot with ignition-on (not acc). Run that wire to a relay, then use the relay to switch power from the front of the car right to the fans. That's the simplest way to do it. When I do it again, I think I might look into a variable-speed kit since those twin-fans on full-tilt can draw quite a bit of power. The cooling from the fans and radiator can't be beat though... I did about 10 back-2-back dyno runs on Tom's dynopak @ devek and the temp was not even past 1/2 way.

Yes, Tom Anderson....his car IS pristine and I THINK, still has under 10K miles on it. He bought it from Willhoit about 2 or 3 years ago. Certainly the best example I have seen! I spoke to Tom a couple of weeks ago and if his work does not interfere, he will be at SHARKTOBERFEST with his car in the EVOLUTION line up.
