Pics of Boston Shark Party (dialup Hell)
CarChick and I were the first to arrive. So, after taking a few quick pictures I was drafted and assigned the task of directing the parking of the 33 other 928s that arrived later. All the other p-cars were parking in nice straight lines. But, for some reason they made me park the 928s in a semi-circle. It's harder than it sounds In any case, I had to put down the camera so I didn't get any really good shots. I hope some of the other folks with cameras did.
The PCA event coordinator was bemused to say the least. At previous year's events one or maybe two 928s show up. I had to explain to him that "While sharks are usually solitary creatures, they do from time-to-time Frenzy." The 35 sharks in attendance comprised about 40% of the total cars!
The pic below is of CarChick's GTS and my '91 GT. More to follow.

Taz's race car. Three years in the making. The metal work on this car is UN-freaking-believable. This car makes factory cup cars look like they were assembled by 6-year olds. I really hope somebody snapped some more pictures of this car.
Oh. And notice the inspection sticker? It's still street legal!

The weather could not have been better, nor the turnout. I think there were a couple more strays show up. All the sharks were in impressive shape with every model represented. Great way to see all the different wheel and tire combo's.
Lots of interesting things to see and a great community of owners. I got to actually sit in sport seats, very nice. We had sharks from all of new england including NY. One guards red shark had HID foglights and headlights, another had the porsche crest embroidered on the carpeted seatbacks and cargo space. And of course 1 murf super shark.
Finally 928's dominated a porsche event and many were very impressed. The organizer, however with tongue in cheek, referred to us as replicars!! lol. A great day.

Great job by David Lloyd in organizing the event and those who helped him. Dave C. (initiator of this thread) did a great job coordinating the parking of the 928s.
It is unfortunate that the comment was made over the public address system, but the enthuseasm of the 928 community, and our very strong showing, gave us the last laugh.
Dave Tassinari does great work, and even the 911 racecar owner from Randolph Racing came over to compliment his work. He told Dave he has been all over the country, and Dave's work was among the best he has seen
Thanks again to all those who organized the event. It was a great day, with many great 928s, and great 928 people

T'was a fine day! It was nice to meet a few more of you local guys. Carl & Worf, nice to finally meet your ladies. It was nice to have an opportunity to survey (oogle?) so many cars in one spot. I've got a few nice pix, but no space to upload; Carl, I'll send them over to you :-)

Great to see everybody and the cars as well.
Tassinari's race car was pretty cool to see, I don't see many race prepped cars. One 928er Tony had a '95 GTS that he bought new and has 22K miles...Nice!

Another nice red GTS a/t with original unpainted wing. Bob Britton had his pristine '79 US 5 speed silver/black that was bought new and owned by his uncle until recently (no pics).
