Question Squeaks after strut replacement.

I'm sure this is just my lack of experience but I first noticed some low frequency suspension squeaking sound when I go over bumps or make sharp turns. It's kind of a quacking sound and seems like my springs rubbing on their perches. I noticed this some after I made ride height adjustments. I noticed it much more after I changed my front shocks. I looked at them and I realizied on one side the spring was not seated with its pigtail end against the stop on the perch. I fixed that and expected the sound to go away but it was better but still there. If I remember, the sound eventually stopped before when I was adjusting my ride height. I hope it will eventually stop now after shock replacement.
Is this common after R&R of strut units? Is there something I should check? My height is 175mm and all the fasteners are torqued to spec. Nothing seems to be out of place.
Thanks in advance,
Dave McK.

I just went around and retorqued everything involved in front strut and MM replacement. The low pitched squeak is still there and it seems worst when I steer sharply from right to left to right etc. I checked the steering rack bolts and they seem fine. Maybe it will go away but I am concerned.

Check the brake dust shields and the air scoops bolted to the front lower shock mounts the wheel spindle will rub on this when the wheel is turned, this is a common source for rubbing/noise, also check for brake lines and wires out of place

Mine doesn't make any squeaking sounds after the install of my new shocks.

Probably something rubbing?

Well I looked for rubbing on the splash guards and A-arm wing, also brake lines. Nothing. Then I remembered I wonder if I torqued the bolt that connects the drop link to the sway bar. It was on but not tightly. Torqued it down and squeak is gone. The twanging sound I heard must have been the sway bar binding and releasing against the drop link. I think I loosened that bolt to get the droplink out of the way to pull the old shock and never tightened it back up.
Bill, yours don't squeak because you didn't forget to put stuff back like it was.
Live and learn. Thanks for the ideas.

I had the squeeks for a couple of weeks after shock replacement and ride height change.
It really bugged me but now all is quiet and I am happy It just took time to settle in I guess.
