I found the 928 and it is for sale. The sign says 1984 928, 35,000 miles, $7900 OBO.
I took a close look and have a very serious doubt that this is a true 35K mile car. The paint is pretty good, but the front seats have been recovered, the dash is leather coverned and very warped and there are HUGE gaps between the dash seams - it has been in the sun a lot. Many of the body rubber gaskets around the car are missing. A look at the front left around the bumper shows there may have been past body damage. Part of the headlight assemblies are missing, there is no seal around the base of the headlamps. Sadly, not a well cared for 928.
