Almost got my new shark back together, and after some serious confusion I think car must have wrong bracket for radiator fan. There are no holes to mount the throttle cable assembly. Just called previous owner to see if maybe he had another bracket laying around garage and finally told me he thinks is wrong year bracket for fan bearing. So am seeking the correct bracket for early 86 928 vin under 1000. hoping it will have three threaded holes that match throttle. Would appriciate any info as to where i might find one. Can look up bearings, fan and clutch online but no listings for the mount. ?? Thanks Dale Also if anyone has pics of stock 86 under hood would be helpful.

Not sure if item #29 from PET 6 illustration is part you're looking for. I'm sure you can order one from DR at 928Specialists, or you might find the complete console from someone parting out an 85 or 86. Hope this helps.

Thank you Jim for the wonderful photo, answers my question completely. Looks like I have wrong part #1 the actual bearing mount for fan. The one that was with parts is NOT tapped or threaded to accept bracket #29 (no holes). I had 928 specialists on phone earlier and he seemed to think was another bracket that the part #29 attached to. Maybe was confusing to describe it to him accurately. Was driving me crazy because no place to mount... So I will send Mark a im now to see if we can get this part. Thanks guys for bailing me out of this one....manuals on way ...lol Dale
