I can vouch for at least 4 in the stoke in trent area - 2 x S2, 2 x S4........ only 50 miles away. My own occasionally sees fit to head for colwyn.

Welcome to the madhouse!

Apologies for changing this thread but....
Bert, you have in your signature,,,,"jager tip shift, cup mirrors,RMB"
Could i ask for a few tips on those ?
Jager tip shift ? Is that the 1 for an auto with the button on top ?I have already wired in a Kickdown override using a "fighter pilot switch with a blue LED" Question being would the shift still improve things?
Cup mirrors... my drivers mirror has lost the electrics so are the cups available and an easy change ? And did you paint them to match colour ?
RMB.....i have seen lots of RMB pictures here from American cars,,,but their exhaust pipes seem to come out in the wrong place Mine come out of rear nearside corner not directly out of back like the American cars ??
Hope you can help again
Sorry to be so long winded

My "tip shift" just refers to the shift button being on top of my stick, rather than the T-bar type of changer. http://www.jageng.com/shift_tip.htm I run the short shift upgrade package combined with a seperate override. The jager GTRSS kit AFAIK only offers the same benefit, albeit in a neat package.

Try this link, it works. http://www.951motorsports.com/#Tools...r%20PaintingBe under no illusion that is a simple 5 minute job (the second time is much easier!) Cup mirrors are available from most of the main UK suppliers, just make sure you get the full kit. I'd happily recomened any of the US suppliers. I've used them all, service is excellent and even after paying VAT they are still cheaper. Even the delivery times are better than the UK! As for the paint, just take them to any paint shop with your cars colour code.

Try These:

I'm sure they will have what you're looking for under RMB / muffler section. I have used both companies (my own RMB was from 928international) Be aware of the VAT bill and factor into the price when ordering. Its worth ordering all the little bits you've been meaning to get at the same time - softens the postage costs! $185.00 for RMB, $120.00 for Fed Ex - i was quoted £380.00 plus VAT by one UK company for an RMB!!!! Makes sense to go to US and service is outstanding.

Have fun! Any probs let me know

RMBs are for 85+ US and 87+ all 928s. Us pre-32V owners have to custom build our own exhausts without a rear muffler. When I do mine, it will only have a rear muffler (plus a 3" cat where the factory front muffler would be on an 84-86 Euro S).

Welcome boyo
I'm an expat Welshman. I'm sure there are not many 928s in N Wales but there are great roads - if you can dodge the sheep!

Dan,
Call Paul Anderson (www.928spares.co.uk) - he has stainless RMBs made in Wales and works out of Stroud in Glos. Mine (S4 and GTS) cost around £170 fitted (and that can be a pain in the **** and require some adjustment of the pipes further along for best fit). He is also a mine of useful information, parts (used and new) and expertise - and very reasonable. If he's not the UK's foremost expert on 928s then he's up there with whoever is. Just don't be put off by his workshop - a bit different from a OPC shall we say!
Cheers
Mark
PS Never mind dodging the bloody sheep - what about the Chief Constable and his GATSOs etc?

Hi again
Thanks for the advice on mirrors and Tip shift....all understood and appreciated.

RMB...? Now i am getting confused again regarding years and US versus EURO models.
Also I am not sure whether i may have an RMB already...
My exhaust system is as follows...
TWIN downpipes from manifolds to a single oval box ( non cat) then pipes to 2 squarish boxes just to front of rear wheels on each side ,then pipes from the rear boxes to a join around 15 and 18 inches from the boxes, then STRAIGHT pipes (slightly different lengths) that run out of rear nearside corner.

I looked on the Porsche cd and they show ANOTHER box at END of system where my straight pipes are......at least i think thats where its meant to be....sort of a squat squarish box... ????

Also 1 other query....my engine seems to be a M26 ??? is that correct for a 16V euro ? registered JANUARY 1986 ?

Many thanks
BRETT

PS Sound like you have a rear muffler bypass - ie missing the last silencer box.
