Default Head Light Motor keeps spinning does not stop half way at up or down

Can anyone help here with any thoughts as the head light motor keeps spinning and won't stop a half up or half down.

A prior forum member suggested there are on/off contacts that tell the Relay "lights are up now so you can turn the bulbs on and stop the lift motor.

That perhaps the worm/wheel is stripped or something similar.

I've removed the head light motor and have it hooked up to a 12v so can conveniently test it for any scenarios/ideas.

Are these the on/off contact points?

NO! Thats the motor commutator. There is a small case with copper tracks that are wiped by blades connected to the arm that turns. The copper can be degraded by corrosion and stop making circuit, and the wiping blades the same.
