Default Rear turbo???

Guys
I was watching videos at www.streefire.net when I came accross a video of a 1725rhwp TT viper!!! So I check out the website of the guys that built it
and find they made a rear mount turbo viper too....heres the link
http://www.svspower.com/case_study_detail.aspx?id=19

575rwhp @7psi with no intercooler!! Not bad...even more interesting to the twin screw guys is the 27hp per psi that the rear mount turbo generated...about the same as the intercooled twin screw kits!

The same shop has a TT viper that hit almost 247mph at bonneville!!! Damm thats fast! I wonder if the ORR's the same car?

This is an interesting topic. I firmly believe a setup like that can perform well, but don't think it will ever match the traditional turbo setup in performance. There is a lot of heat energy lost across the exhuast system and that means less power to drive the compressor.

Nonetheless, I am very interested in hearing how these rear mount 928 S4s perform.
