I am about to paint my porsche, mainly reason is that looks a little bit faded and i think with new paint will look100% better, my question is ,with the guy who is gonna paint (he does a really good job on other imports that i have seen like mercedes, jaguar etc) we cannot find the color code, the only thing we saw it is a code Y9 but that does not show any color in his paint programs, i need to get the exact match for the color of my car, he told me that mercedes does a similar color on their cars, but i don;t want that, i just want the original color of the car, if someone knows the code or the name of that paint it would be apreciatted

The quickest way I can think of at the moment is going to this site below:

They have a page specifically showing the colors of all non-exclusive/boutique program cars and their codes. That's your best bet for now

Your car looks like Kieth Widom's car (of SOCAL 928 and Sharktoberfest fame ;-) ). He recently had it repainted..you should check with him to see what the code is and what he used..He goes by 928ntslow here on rennlist...

There 'should' be a decal on the driver side door jamb that lists the paint colour and code.
