I don't see what you guys are complaining about.

Name calling is an obvious signal of insecurity. Phil, rather obviously, feels threatend by the relative inadequacies of....

My thoughts exactly, I just couldn't find an acceptable way to express them.

Something just struck me.

The 911 used to have huge cult-like following. There seems to be a new generation of modern 911-ites that are not part of the cult. The cult followership is not what it once was.

I think that the 928-ites may have the most passionate cult-like attitudes today. I mean, just look at the lot of you. (maybe me too)

I never thought I'd see the day.

Wierd huh?

Dave, I figured that it might be the case which is why I deliberately picked up a copy to see what he would print in his magazine (I anticipated that he could not possibly just let our arument last month go without making a statement of some kind good or bad, he was going to say something...i just knew it).

I am more disturbed ththat John Dunkle is letting this guy get away with this as a list sponsor. His magazine is a platform for gnashing his teeth into everybody except the 911 and he flaunts it in our face here as a sponsor.

Sure his magazine is selling out to the 911 crowd, so he is happy, but to thrash other Porsches and Porsche drivers is simply discusting. He fails to recognize that some of us, like myself, are or have been 911 drivers and his insults about other Porsche are not funny.

Perhaps I am taking this too seriously but there ought be some rules as it relates to sponsors that engage in this Porsche bashing practice. We have paid our money to be members here just like he did as a sponsor, but we have out feet held to the fire by banning for behavior that is outside the scope of the charters of this list. But a sponsor that deliberatly publishes this kind of trash has no recourse. Total 911 needs to have its money delivered back to them with a note- "Thanks, but NO Thanks".

Dude, just an impression I got, but heck try this one on for size:

You are to Rennlist as the Soup **** is to hungry New Yorkers.

SHEESH

Maybe I didn't emphasize the word "LITTLE" enough.

I am just teasing. Seriously though, I see little point in disputing a $$$$ sponsor to the site when they have not directly called anyone's children ugly. Methinks you just like to get angry at people?

I can't speak for the others, but I most certainly am. I haven't bought an issue and I definitely never will now. What an idiot to make such a comment.

I don't disagree with your logic. A list sponsor that promotes a single-model agenda and denigrates the other models isn't the paragon of sponsorship that I'd want on my board.

But, what I find interesting is that Mr. Total 911 could have chosen to bash 924s, or 944s, or all non-911s. Yet, he specifically choses 928s as his target. Surely, he isn't dumb enough - I think - not to know what type of reaction he's going to get.

Perhaps he's taking a page from the 'any publicity is good publicity' book?
