I do agree that the rollers and water pumps are made to last longer then timing belts and that they get changed way too often. I guess it's more an issue of whether you do your own work or pay to have it done. It doesn't take too many water pump failure stories to create an atmosphere of fear. I'm due for a TB change due to age, the mileage is only 24,000. I won't be changing the water pump or any rollers unless I find something wrong when I get in there.
