Actually the silver wheels balance out all the aluminum and chrome under teh glass hood (you'd have to see it in rreal life to understand).

I've been fooling with tinting options on lights this past week. Researching different ideas from other RL'ers. I attempted regular film tint, but did not care for the application or the questionable durability.

I went with spray tint and tried different layers of thickness. My buffer decided to crap out on me so I have to put the final polishing and buffing on hold.

The front directionals need sanded down more as they are too dark. I'm not sure if I like the stark transition of clear (fog lights) to the dark directionals.

The tint definitely, in my opinion of my own car, added unique character. I don't believe I will tint the rear markers. Opinions?

Now waiting on the X pipe to be delivered to see how that sounds and 'feels'.

 

Looks really nice I like it. I believe I have a set of the rear markers tinted a dark black. I can send them to you for free and if you like the look you can send me yours if not just send them back.

 

Never mind just checked an old photo only did the front markers.

 

The rear markers I can't decide whether I even need to tint. The front orange ones stuck out like a sore thumb.

Need to tint my windows too.

 

IMO, the back markers should be tinted too, to balance the whole look.

I really love the stance of your car. The offsets front and back look perfect to me. The tires are almost right in line with fenders. What a clean look!

 

My car has smoked markers front and back. Click on the link in my signature and scroll down for a picture.

These side markers are made of tinted material - they are not painted. I also have smoked turn signal lenses available.

In the quest for good looks... lets not abandon common sense...

I was behind a car yesterday with all black everything - it was nightime - and it took me a few moments to realize it actually did have its lights on.. then when it braked the tiny pinpricks of light got slightly brighter...

This was stupid stuff - I don't know what he had done - multiple layers of tint. paint - whatever.

Point is if the end result is your lighting is complete crap you did several things - made yourself a laughing stock, increased your chances of getting stopped for fix it ticket, much increased your chance of being rear ended and created significant liability issues due to the modifications you did if you should get in a serious accident..

Let just keep it rational folks...

Can't say my signal lights are just as bright as before...they aren't. However, they are plainly visible during the day (with sunshine).

I have a lot of time on my hand at the moment due to a surgery coming up Monday, so I've been tinkering. Bought the ol' static tint at local auto parts store to try on rear quarter windows. Thought, what the heck, twelve bucks for a few hours of messing around.

It's obviously straight forward. Trim to fit, wet and 'stick'. Now I shall see how long it stays on. I was surprised at how well it turned out. Have to get some professional tinting quotes now for the windows.

 

In my opinion, clear lenses look better on a silver car than black.

The black calls attention to itself rather than blending in.
