Yeah, right, uh OK. I'm awake now.

Good morning Rich.

The only decisions to be made are:

1. Cats or no cats
2. HPC Coated or not (additional $105 in color of your choice except silver. It doesn't like the heat.)
3. Do you need new collector gaskets and hardware? ($24.95)
4. Address and billing info

And it's done.

I haven't had time to populate our new webpage yet. Selling too many X-overs.

Ask away and I'll try to answer all your questions.

Why don't we have a website? That is a good first question.

Answer: Because we don't have time to clone ourselves and have the clones populate the website. Damn hard to find good employees.

From what I understand, these guys don't need the website just yet. It seems that they are getting tons of orders via the good old fashioned, phone, email and direct point of contact means.

In the long run, though, it would probably save time for these guys to just bite the bullet and make a few clones so product offerings and Q&A on a website could start defecting the time spent communicating with prospective buyers.

After much more dyno testing, I have settled on what I'm going to use for cats. They are a 200cpi metal matrix design that are equivelant to the Randon Technology cats but cost considerably less.

Since I couldn't live with the 400cpi ceramic cats horsepower losses the price has changed for the cat equipped X-overs. With these cats the X-overs will be $569.95. (the cats retail at $169.95 each!) I am only charging $100 per cat if they are purchased with the X-over. If seperate, we will be selling them for $129.95 each. (I had to buy them in a large quantity to get them reasonably priced.) We have them available from 2.25" to 3". They are quite short and fit very well with 928 applications.

On the 87' the metal cats lost approx. 8 hp over going catless. The metal matrix cats are also more efficient and last longer but the trade off is the price.

We are stocking some X-overs HPC coated black but if you want any other color it will be 7 to 10 business days for the coating process.

I know somebody in Maryland with a 928 in Virginia who is capable of populating a website and is looking for a job.

Any predictions about the HP gain for a GT? Need a test subject?

"(easily 40 to 50 hp across the board!)"

I can easily believe that claim.

If i didn't get at least 30 out of mine i'd be stunned. The difference in apparent acceleration when i went from bone stock to the custom borla no cat setup was profound.

Since an X-over with true duals is obviously more ideal for maximum flow than my setup, i've no problem at all believing the numbers you're talking about.

How would it work on my '80 Euro? I'm planning to go to 85/86 exhaust manifolds and still have the original, un-molested, dual exhaust.

Will the flanges mate up with the exhaust manifolds? Will the pipes mate with the duals?

Glen,

my catless ceramic coated version is on the way for my early 86. I will be utilizing the stock dual exhaust. I will post results as soon as it is installed and i take a few power runs.
Is there something special about the 85/86 exhaust manifolds you spoke of.
Are they considered an upgrade?

Those "mini-headers" are an upgrade from the cast manifolds on the early 16v cars. They bolt up to the heads but the right-side one doesn't mate to the stock pipes.

Hey Ernest, I will be conservative and say on a GT that you will see 30+ across the board without cats and at least 20 to 25 across the board with the new cats. We do have a GT local but I'm not sure if he will let us dyno it when we install his X-over. Some people just do it for the driving and don't need to know the numbers. (I don't fit that catagory!)

Hey Matt, willing to sleep at the shop? It's quite nice and protected by three beautiful German Shepards to keep you company on the cold nights.

Hey Glen, if your Euro has dual all the way back, then it will benefit it. If it goes into a single exhaust we will have a performance "Y" coming out soon. It will bolt in just fine as far as I know, I'll have to check. We installed one on an 85' Euro 16 valve with cast iron headers without any problems.

Is it Friday yet? I think I'm done with Dyno runs! (until next week!) I just want to go for a nice long drive in a 928, these dyno sessions are starting to tax me.
