Can someone with a little bit more technical knowledge than I tell me how these pistons can increase displacement to 5.4 Liters, and at the same time increase compression ratio to 12.5:1 from 10.1:1?

Because they are wider.

You'll need to have the block bored out to use them. This increases the displacement.

The compression ratio increases because the head volume is the same. More air is crammed into that old volume and that raises the compression ratio.
